The Perfect Vintage Set

Sit down and think what you'd just love to play- the sizes, the brand, and the color. For me, it was always 14x22 / 9x13 / 16x16 (x2). I've been lucky enough to play all the vintage brands and I loved them all. But I always had to have a Ludwig snare drum, with Rogers as number 2.

A Ludwig Super Classic or a Rogers Holiday? Decisions, decisions, decisions... I loved Ludwig in Silver Sparkle and Rogers in Red Glitter.

I wish that true champagne sparkle was still around, and -- bring back mardi gras while you're at it. In fact, while we're at it -- get a Ludwig, get a Rogers, get a Camco, get a Leedy, get a Slingerland and a Gretsch, too.

If you'd like to learn more about these vintage drums, then I invite you to get a copy of my book, "The Great American Drums".
